Teradici PCoIP Client
Teradici was making a thin client that allowed companies to use blade servers as desktop PCs then send the video and I/O to a user's desk with very low latency. The original ask was hockey puck sized device that was passively cooled.

Anatomy Of A Project
Every model I made is represented here. The front left is the start of the project, beginning with rough components. As the ever increasing thermal requirements became too great, we had to switch directions and move to a more vertical design to improve cooling.
This Side Up
The end solution included a convection "smokestack" design that allowed the device to continue to be passively cooled. If the unit was placed on it's side or covered with desk clutter it would over heat. My design was tapered in a way to increase airflow at the base and also look clearly wrong if set incorrectly.
